An Investigation of Student Study Skills in FranceEcole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commergiales, Paris, France A factor analytic study of the responses of 272 French students to Sakamoto's (1983) International Study Skills Inventory is described. The results confirmed the general validity of the ISSI as a means of investigating students' attitudes and strategies. Some ways in which French students differ from those in other countries in these respects are revealed. The potential value of this kind of attitude questionnaire to school psychologists is emphasized.
